Although working on oneself requires looking at all aspects of life, and especially the ones where there is a lot of trauma or taboo, few people are including the topic of sex and sexuality in their work. During this session, you will learn how our type and instinctual stack influence the way we experience sex. It will provide a framework that will be easy to relate to and to explore your attitude towards sex in a non-judgmental manner.

About Dr Frederik Coene

Dr Frederik Coene is a seasoned diplomat who is currently on a two-year sabbatical, so he could dedicate more time to his passion: understanding humans and humanity.

His biggest research project, which has has focused on for the past five years, is related to sex and the enneagram. He is also working on 3 books that will go deeper into describing the subtypes, and he is preparing a model that integrates the levels of development, the five centres of development, the law of three, and spiral dynamics.

Title: The Enneagram in Love and Relationship

Presented by: Helen English and Andy Portman

Love and relationship can lift our hearts! We long for good connection; with intimate partners, family members, friends, colleagues and our social network. Yet nowhere do our patterns show up so clearly as they do here and often with painful consequences. How can we meet these patterns and be free to relate in loving presence? How might we start to live and relate in new ways? What helps us open to love and healing in relationship? How can we begin to have more conscious and life-affirming friendships? Helen English in conversation with partner Andy Portman to explored these perennial questions, so vital to our well-being.

Title: The Enneagram's Three Centres: History, Myth and Experience

Presented by: Uranio Paes

Enneagram Alive was delighted to welcome Uranio Paes, a world-renowned Enneagram teacher known for his innovation, powerful facilitation and thought-leadership.  Uranio Paes illuminatd the distinctive ways in which body, heart, and head types work, given their dominant intelligences. He explained the theory around the centres that he and Beatrice Chestnut subscribe to and and some of the ways this may differ from the approach others take, both in theory and in practice.  We heard about the Chestnut Paes Enneagram Academy approach and the reasons for it, as well as having a taster of what it's like to work directly 'in the room' with Uranio.

Title: Love and Connection in the Three Centres

Presented by: Peter O'Hanrahan

What can the Enneagram teach us about love, connection and human relationships?  Peter reflected that love is easy to say but hard to define. It means different things to different people. Perhaps the most common meaning is that love is a feeling in the heart. Yet there is much more to “love” than our feelings. At times the centres work together, but not always. Understanding the role of our three centers show us how we love and how we want to be loved. Knowing our Enneagram Type helps us work with our ego defenses, our projections and idealisations  our emotional habits, and shows us how we can develop our capacity to love through the body, heart and mind.

This well- attended webinar saw 38 people, led by Peter, share their experience and reflect on and compare the various ways of receiving and giving love through the three centres, and how this is influenced by type structure and how they show up in their relationships and in love.

Title: Is Modern Science Catching Up with Ancient Wisdom?

Presented by: Dr Henrie Lidiard

Spiritual traditions, including the Enneagram, have long talked about human beings having ‘3 centres’ of intelligence. However, for some these descriptions can seem a bit vague, unsubstantiated or ‘new age’ in nature, as if the ‘centres’ might just be a metaphor, an ‘energy’ or an idea.

However, there is now compelling evidence for their physical location, structure and function coming from the rapidly evolving field of neuroscience. Diverse studies now show that we do indeed have ‘brains’ or ‘centres of embodied intelligence’ in our heart and our gut, as well as in our head

March 2023

Title: Introduction to the The Somatic Enneagram

Presented by: Marion Gilbert

As we start to use the Enneagram to understand ourselves better, we come

to have more options for how we respond to life, rather than being

“on automatic” in our personality’s type patterns. Our past history has

hard-wired us to stick with what we know, our type patterns, because they keep us safe. But keeping safe can keep us small and unable to fully open to the wholeness of who we truly are.

Title: The Enneagram and Dreamwork

Presented by: Veronica Whitty

This webinar by Veronica Whitty provided us with a fascinating and unique opportunity to work on dreams. The more the ego censors the dream message, the more disturbing the dreams become. We use dreams as a mirror for issues. This workhop was an amazing journey into the world of dreams and a big thank you to those who were prepared and brave enough to bring their dream to the workshop.
